Behind The Scenes - Who's That Guy?
2nd Edition

Sleuthing Cover Model Identities...

Okay, ladies, we’re back for Round Two of Who’s That Guy? First, let me say that some of you contacted us about the identities of various cover models on several different books, and please don’t think that we’ve forgotten about you. Sometimes, it takes time to discover identities and for authors, publishing companies, etc., to get back to us. Occasionally, to our disappointment, our polite inquiries go by the wayside.

Discouraging, sure, but that’s okay because in this edition of Who’s That Guy, I want to give a huge shout-out to the romance suspense author, Pamela Clare, for doing something that I wished all romance authors would do: Tell us, the readers, the identity of the hot, up and coming cover model on their new release. Love her for that! And, I think that you will love this cover. So here we go. Drum roll, please. Introducing…

I know, I know! You’re thinking what I’m thinking…”If only my Honey Bunch looked like that.” I apologize. What I meant to say is that you’re thinking the other thing I’m thinking, which is…”But it cuts off his face.” Such a shame that is-and he has such a nice face as well. So, what kind of feature contributor would I be if I didn’t show you that nice face and, well, other? Ok, here’s Jed, for your full viewing pleasure (and I must say, what a pleasure it is).

And to think, I always thought that I was more into baseball. What can I say, the game of football never looked so good. Anyway, here’s some stats on our current Who’s That Guy, Mr. Hill courtesy of Model Mayhem.

Height: 6’3”
Weight: 220 lbs
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Green
Birthday: January 23
Birthplace: Mount Olympus, son of Zeus (I just made that one up. However, it does seem fitting.)

Bio: Jed is a former Penn State football player turned fitness model, and now, cover model. Jed is also a certified Personal Trainer/Wellness Coach, who lives in Los Angeles. Currently, he is represented by Wilhelmina NYC, and is, according to his site, not looking to date anyone. Sorry, ladies, about that last one, but as Scarlett would say, “Tomorrow is another day.” Take a look at another devine cover with Jed and the original photo.

For those of you who regularly frequent Cover Cafe, you may remember the Jaci Burton cover, The Perfect Play which is nominated for next year's 2011 contest. It was featured in a Cover Cafe ?Poll Central? question, earlier this year. If you haven't already voted your opinion on this cover, now is the time to register your vote.

Hear, hear! We want more Jed Hill on romance covers in the near future. (My own Honey Bunch is looking over my shoulder and rolling his eyes as I pump my fist in the air).

Please share with us your thoughts on Jed or book covers in general. In addition, if you have a cover model that you would like to see identified, send us an () with the details and who knows...maybe he will be the next model featured in Who's That Guy.

Thanks!
Susie
